Axle is seeking a Curriculum Developer to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) located in Rockville, MD.
The Curriculum Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing educational curriculum for the Cloud-based Linkage and Data (CLAD) consortium, as part of the All of Us Research Program. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical experts, epidemiologists, software developers, data scientists, and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of a scalable, secure, and efficient research education platform.
This role is key to providing timely guidance on the best use of Real World Data, analytic methods, and good algorithmic practices for the CLAD project. Expertise with effective communication and technical curriculum development in the health sciences will be essential. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the education and training of professionals in the biomedical community while contributing to our mission of advancing knowledge and expertise in clinical data and clinical regulation.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Manage the creation of and continuously enhance curriculum materials, courses, and programs related to clinical data, real world data, and clinical regulation. Ensure content is up-to-date, comprehensive, and aligned with industry standards.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the in-house subject matter expert in course development, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and a variety of pedagogical engagement paradigms including in-person, virtual synchronous, and virtual asynchronous.
Instructional Design: Collaborate with instructional designers, clinical domain experts, and pharmacoepidemiologists to create engaging and effective learning experiences, incorporating modern pedagogical methods and technologies.
Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of educational content creation and delivery. Establish monitoring and evaluation practices and evaluate course outcomes; making improvements as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with industry experts, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders to ensure that our curriculum remains relevant and valuable to professionals in the field.
Outreach: Manage, schedule, and oversee outreach initiatives to underserved communities and extramural sites with limited bioinformatics capacities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Curriculum, Learning, Statistics, Epidemiology or related field.
Proficient in instructional design and curriculum development processes.
Experience developing curriculum content, coaching materials, teaching aids and managing all aspects of curriculum development programs.
Experience with virtual training content development.
Exceptional writing and communication skills.
Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Experience in clinical data management, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
