Overview

Axle is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Presentation/Public Speaking Trainer to join our vibrant team.

Note 1: Work location - TBD.

Note 2: One (1) year contract; Part-time, up to 10 hours total.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and teach expertise, knowledge and experience about the development of speech and presentation.
  • Provide workshop that targets an area of the NIH that affects all levels of trainee. Service is relevant to those fellows who are US Citizens or Permanent Residents (Postbac, Predoc, Postdoc) and is essential component of the fellowship experience, as provided by the Research Training at NIAID.
  • Provide presentations on interview skills, presentation speaking skills, individual in-person speaking skills and other speaking/speech tools for conferences, retreats, and job interviews.

Experience Required / Requirements

  • Part-time: Up to 10 hours to provide Three (3) workshops on the topic of Interview Skills, Presentation Talks, and Individual Talks in October-November.
  • Provide follow-up email support to trainees within one month after each seminar. The contractor will notify NIAID Training office of the amount of time (hours) utilized for follow up support by the trainees.
  • Provide a master handout to the NIAID Training office to photocopy for attendees (3-4 pages).
