    We are looking for a Senior IT Policy Analyst to support our work at NIH. The position will be based in Bethesda/Rockville, MD

     

    Responsibilities

    • Draft policies, procedures and compliance controls affecting acquisition planning, contract award, contract management and disputes and appeals.
    • Support the development and creation of acquisition policy
    • Conduct research, analyze, and summarizes data and information then develop preliminary findings, conclusions and recommendations.
    • Prepare written reports, briefings, and summaries of research data.
    • Assist with preparation, presentation, and follow-up of briefings and meetings; prepare notes from meetings; and recommend follow-up action.
    • Interact with more experienced technical and analytical staff and management, representatives of foreign governments, and the U.S. Interagency during exercise planning and conduct phases.
    • Help design exercise materials and participate in exercise after-action assessments and corrective action plans.
    • Perform administrative actions as directed and comply with security requirements and processes for handling classified information.

    Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Political Science, International Affairs, or related area of study.
    • 5-7 years of work experience in a relevant field.
    • Previous work experience with the Federal contracting business highly preferred.
    • Ability to work independently
    • A track record of adapting to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
    • Ability to adapt to change and implement quickly based on overall direction and needs of the organization.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Master’s degree preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience working in a federal interagency environment, including collaboration with multiple U.S. government departments and agencies on joint programs.
    • Demonstrated experience briefing executive-level audiences.
