    • Train scientific and engineering staff.
    • Provides ideas for new automation needs
    • Design and implement new automated laboratory robotic systems
    • Operate and maintain robotic systems and instruments for high throughput screening
    • Perform routine testing and calibration of robots and instrumentation
    • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot articulated robotic arms, scheduling systems and liquid handling systems (e. g., Kalypsys, Tecan, Aurora Discovery, CyBio).
    • Interact with scientists to aid HTS and molecular probe development
    • Maintain records and logs for major systems
    • Communicate with key equipment vendors to facilitate repair and maintenance of lab systems.
    • Write technical reports and prepare manuscripts in collaboration with investigators
    • Prepare oral presentations for internal and external groups
    • Collect data; analyze and interpret data; prepare reports and analyses.
    • Evaluate and interpret data and make modifications as needed.


    • D. in electrical engineering or related field.
    • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in related field.
    • Experience with computer aided engineering design tools, laboratory instrument control programming (e. g., Visual Basic, C/C++, LabView) and relational databases (e. g., Oracle, SQL/PLSQL).
    • Meticulous lab technique and recording, excellent computer skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Team oriented and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
