Axle Informatics is looking for a quick learning, detail-oriented student to be the next intern in a high-performing, fast-paced organization that offers innovative services to one of the top medical research centers in the world, the National Institutes of Health (NIH).


Axle Informatics is an information technology company that offers innovative computer services, informatics, and enterprise solutions to research centers and healthcare organizations around the globe. With experts in software engineering, bioinformatics and program management, we focus on developing and applying technology tools and techniques to empower decision-making and accelerate the discovery in translational research.


Are you seeking an Internship that will provide you with the opportunity to apply your knowledge and give you hands-on experience?






Business Development

  • Gain knowledge in identifying and developing client relationships and new business opportunities.
  • Assist in developing case studies, marketing material, etc. in coordination with Axle’s Clients
  • Identify and assist with responses to requests for proposals, contracts, and other technical documents for new and existing projects.
  • Assist with representing the company by attending industry association events and conferences.
  • Assist in performing market research and competitive analysis.
  • Help in devising new marketing and promotion campaigns for various clients.
  • Participation in weekly to daily creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Support the HR team with posting positions, sourcing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial phone screenings.

Skills we’d love for you to have (but not required):

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member 
  • Exceptional organizational skills to coordinate and track multiple projects and processes simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external clients by phone, email and face to face.


  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree working towards Communications, Business degree or related field
  • Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 15 hours/week
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
